Forever Can Never Be Long Enough For Me

Marry Me

by Train

Forever can never be long enough for me

Feel like I've had long enough with you

Forget the world now we won't let them see

But there's one thing left to do

Now that the weight has lifted

Love has surely shifted my way

Marry Me

Today and every day

Marry Me

If I ever get the nerve to say

Hello in this cafe

Say you will

Mmmm

Say you will

Mmmm

Together can never be close enough for me

Feel like I am close enough to you

You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you

And you're beautiful

Now that the wait is over

And love and has finally shown her my way

Marry me

Today and every day

Marry me

If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe

Say you will

Mmmm

Say you will

Mmmm

Promise me

You'll always be

Happy by my side

I promise to

Sing to you

When all the music dies

And marry me

Today and everyday

Marry me

If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe

Say you will

Mmmm

Say you will

Mmmm

Marry me

Mmmm

Happy Anniversary, Rick
31 years
It seems like just yesterday
and yet it feels like we've been
together forever
Thank you for marrying me
and being my best friend.

I love you.

  1. Well, Nancy, guess it's your turn to make me cry.

You have shared a beautiful tribute to your man, your marriage, and the commitment you two share. I am blessed to be able to understand it, for Steve and I found a love like yours and Rick's.

May God continue to bless you both.

This is for you and Rick...

    love does not age
    does not fade
    does not lose track
    but persists
    and ever constant
    remains

    love endures
    come what may
    confusion may whirl
    chaos may rage
    patiently love
    continues

    when years prevail
    and time curls
    upon itself
    only then
    do hearts surrender
    and face forever
    together

  2. Marge, your poem made ME cry. I don't know how you can keep those amazingly moving poems coming, but you having been doing it as long as I've known you. Thank you so much. I really do love you, sis.

    Thanks, Toods!

  3. OH, Nancy, this was soooo moving and soooo beautiful...I don't even know what to say. The parts of "mmm" and then moving to the sentence, well, it was gloriously human and loving to the end.
I meant to tell you and don't even know if you want to do it, but I want to pass on an award to you for Stylish Blogger. It's on my most recent post. I do not care if you pass it to "15" bloggers or anything else, I only wanted you to have it because you are indeed, stylish. All you need to do is go to my page and right click the award and 'save as', then post to your own page. I love you regardless of what you do.
    XOXOXO
